Bank Reference Example

What constitutes a good bank reference letter?

A credible bank reference letter should contain all the necessary details which prove the applicant has a solid reputation and is a loyal and low risk banking customer.

The following information should be included in the reference letter;

- Name and registered address of the applicant
- Type of account the applicant has with the bank and the relevant account ID number
- The recent balance of the applicants account
- A character reference of the applicant stating that he/she has been a customer for a number of years and that he/she has not violated any terms of the bank account

Please note that this is only a general guideline of a professional bank reference letter, and may differ depending on the bank and country of issue. There may also be additional requirements needed by the relevant immigration authority with regards to your banking history before you will qualify to apply for a residency or work visa.
