- BY NATURALIZATION: Uzbek citizenship may be acquired upon fulfillment of the following conditions: Person has renounced former citizenship, has resided in Uzbekistan for at least five years, and has gainful employment.

- Person voluntarily acquires foreign citizenship.
- Person gains employment with an institution of a foreign power.

- Person acquired Uzbek citizenship under false pretenses.
