Denmark Investment Immigration
Investment immigration is where an individual is willing and able to invest a set amount of money into the country he/she wishes to seek permanent residency in. The investment must also be considered as solely for the benefit of the country’s economy. Each jurisdiction varies in terms of conditions to satisfy in order to be approved for a permanent residency visa. The conditions for Denmark are outlined below.
Why immigrate to Denmark
Denmark is an increasingly popular location for foreigners to seek permanent residency in, due to its strong and stable economic infrastructure and its high income equality rate. Denmark is a largely sought after location for second citizenship, and is renowned for its political and social structures, attractive working conditions and high standard of living. The country also prides itself on its educational standards and welcomes foreigners who have an educational background of expertise in a particular area.
Denmark Residence Permit
Applying for investment immigration is done so by seeking a Danish Green Card, which entitles the owner to reside in the country on a permanent basis. Under Danish law all non EU nationals wanting to reside in Denmark for a period longer than 3 months must apply for a ‘Residence Permit’. Under the Green Card scheme the applicant accumulates a number of points depending on his educational background, work experience and financial status, language skills, adaptability and age. It should be noted that if you do not have a Bachelors degree you will not gain enough points to be eligible under the green card scheme.
There are several conditions attached to application of a residence permit under the green card scheme:
- You must be able to provide evidence that you have sufficient funds to support yourself during your first year residing in Denmark (bank account statements will suffice)
- You must have the financial resources to cover the residency permit rates of your dependants
