Panama Second Passport

A Panama travel passport can be obtained by engaging in the country’s investment immigration program that requires the applicant to invest a certain amount of money in real estate. The travel passport obtained through the second passport program does not grant citizenship. Panama Investor Program

One of the most sought after methods of obtaining a Panama travel document is through engaging in their second passport program, which involves buying Panama real estate. The investment must be of a minimum amount of US$350, 000; this covers the principal and/or the dependents. The US$350,000 deposit will be blocked for a period of 5 years, with annual interest. The deposit is secured at the National Bank of Panama. On expiry of the travel document the principal has the option of renewing the passport or cancelling it, obtaining the refund and interest of the deposit.

Requirements for the Panama second passport program:

There are various documents required in order to obtain a Panamanian travel document. These include:

  • Certificate by Banco Nacional de Panama that accredits that the applicant generates a minimum monthly income of US$750.00 from the interest of the time deposit
  • Good health certificate demonstrating that the applicant does not suffer from any disease (DeltaQuest will provide you with the text format)
  • Police Record certificate from the country of origin or country of residence
  • Two (2) complete photocopies of passport (including covers and blank pages)
  • Letter stating the applicants’ parents’ names and nationalities (we will provide you with the text format).
  • Sworn declaration (we will provide you with the form to be completed)
  • Power of attorney (we will provide you with the form to be completed)
  • Statement of Facts (this document is drafted by DeltaQuest)
  • Three (3) colored passport size photographs

Requirements for Opening a Time Deposit Account with National Bank of Panama:

1. Three (3) letters of commercial references (at least two of these references must be from banks)

2. Three (3) letters of personal reference

3. Two (2) photocopies of the applicant’s passport

4. Application Form of Opening of Account (with complete information). This form can be obtained at any branch of the National Bank of Panama (We will help you with this)

5. Application Form of Verification of References in the Panamanian Association of Credit (APC), independent of the nationality and the applicant’s home. This form should be completed by the applicant before an official of the National Bank, unless she/he confers Special Power to another person for the realization of this step. (We will help you with this).

6. Profile of the Client. This form should be completed by the applicant before an official of the National Bank, unless she/he confers Special Power to another person for the realization of this step (we will help you with this).

All commercial and personal reference letters must be authenticated by apostille or by a Consulate of Panama.
